Character OLIVER WOOD for the Post-Hogwarts Harry/Draco RPG beyond7years

Oliver is a Mediwizard and has been since he began training two years after he left Hogwarts. After working in various parts of wizarding Europe for three years prior, he finally returned to London to work at St Mungo’s Hospital. He is a specialist in Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine. He adores his work, and prides himself on putting above-average effort into it.

As passionate as Ollie was about Quidditch in school – with a brief stint in the professional leagues after finishing Hogwarts - a serious fall from his broom resulting in a broken knee sent his Quidditch career down the toilet. It was his struggle with his injury that made him decide to become a Mediwizard.

After a couple of failed relationships (and one broken engagement), Oliver fell into a string of one-night stands and brief encounters (including a fling with Draco Malfoy on a fleeting visit to London eight months before his permanent return home). He never intentionally stopped looking for a committed relationship, it just became less of a priority as time went by. He had a brief but stormy relationship with Pansy Parkinson, that ended as expected - in disaster, leaving Oliver trying to pick up the pieces of his life around him. Sirius Black took Oliver under his wing and helped him get his life back on track and they soon formed a close father-son bond between them.

Oliver has a bit of a reputation as a perfectionist, complete with a "good guy" image, though he has a history of getting into sticky situations when he's drunk. He cares deeply for those close to him and will always put others before himself.

Oliver is bisexual, but always had more of a tendency towards female sexual relations. For a long time, he wasn't sure he believed in true love and he hoped one day the right girl will just fall into his lap. Fate soon dealt Oliver an Ace and brought Alicia Spinnet back into his life. Being rivals on the Quidditch field back in Hogwarts never quite allowed them to realise any attraction between them back then, but this time around, it was just about a case of love at first sight. They fell in love quickly and were soon inseperable. They recently married in tropical Tahiti and are expecting their first baby in July.

Completely loyal and patriotic to his Scottish roots, it's not uncommon to find Ollie donning his kilt or taking quick trips to his Highland home town. Haggis is his favourite food, but he can't play bagpipes to save himself, much to the amusement of his father who is bagpiper himself.
